The basement contains thekitchen department and spacious gymnasium halls; thefirst floor shows the dining halls and professors rooms; thenext the study halls and class-rooms; the third, some class-rooms and dormitories; and last comes the spacious atticwith the trunk room. The dimensions of the building are184 feet in length, 64 feet in width and 73 feet in height.Beautiful oil paintings, executed in St. Anselms art Studio,adorn the chapel, dining rooms and corridors. The college is lighted by means of gas. Hot and coldwater is led through the whole building. The plumbing isof first-class workmanship and much admired by visitors.In every corridor there are two fire plugs with hose at-tached. Throughout the building, in convenient places,there are numerous fire extinguishers for cases of emer-gency. The water is supplied by two artesian wells. The food is wholesome and abundant.
