230 FOURTEENTH ANNUAL REPORT OF THE No. 49 of the Commission, being completed in September. The fourth detachedhouse \\ IN be erected in the spring of L922.The bouses are finished in Stucco, with foundations of cement blocks. Temporary Installation of Electrical Equipment As mentioned in the 1920 report, it was found after careful considera-tion that power could be supplied to the City of Porl Arthur by December 21st,L920, the date on which the contract with the Kaministiquia Power Companyfor power for thai city expired. To do this it was necessary to complete the erection of one of the two10,COO k.v.a. generator units and to install temporarily two of the four 8,000k.v.a. transformers and necessary low-tension switching equipment on thegenerator-room floor. This temporary installation was completed aboutaber 16th, and after being tested out, was placed in service at midnight,December 20th, when power was first supplied from this station to the City ofPort Arthur.
