Description
English: Retired Army Spc. Luis Puertas, celebrates with Army Master Sgt. Jarrett Jongema, adaptive reconditioning branch noncommissioned officer in charge, Warrior Transition Command, Alexandria, Va., after winning the men’s 1,500 meter (above the knee single and double amputee) race in the Warrior games at the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, Colo., May 14, 2013. The Warrior Games is a weeklong annual event pitting 260 wounded, ill or injured service members from across the Department of Defense and United Kingdom against each other.
