Description
Deutsch: Die Bäkebrücke in Berlin-Lichterfelde führt die Bäkestraße am Kilometer 17,56 der künstlichen Wasserstraße über den Teltowkanal. Sie wurde am 14. April 1960 eröffnet. Sie ist eine genietete Stahlbrücke mit vier parallelgurtigen Fachwerkträgern. Die Stützweite beträgt 34,8 Meter und die Breite 13 Meter. Die Vorgängerbrücke wurde unter dem Namen Oskar-Lange-Brücke 1907 erbaut und im Zweiten Weltkrieg zerstört (benannt nach Oskar Lange (1851–1937), stellvertretender Amtsvorsteher der Gemeinde Lichterfelde und Berliner Stadtrat). Den heutigen Namen trägt die Brücke nach dem Bäkefließ, das bis auf zwei kleinere Reste im Teltowkanal aufgegangen ist.
English: The Bäkebrücke in Berlin-Lichterfelde is a street bridge of the Bäkestraße crossing the Teltowkanal (canal). The steel bridge was built in 1959/60. The first bridge, named Oskar-Lange-Brücke, was built in 1907 and destroyed in WW2. The bridge is named after the stream Bäke – there are today only two little remainders of the Bäke, the rest became part of the Teltowkanal during its construction in 1906.
