There were sufficient ci-own corks inthis shipment to reach almost from theAtlantic to the Pacific Coast, if placedside by side, or, if piled one on the other,to make a column extending 695 mile.<in the air. If the pint bottles, crowned by theseseals, were placed end to end they wouldmore than encircle the 25,000 miles cir-cinnference of the earth at the equator.If they were transported in a solid train,a minimum of 20,089 cars would l)e i(^-quired to render the necessary transpor-tation service. Baltimore is doing big things in the wayof bringing great new industries witliinher gates, but l)etter still, those that arehere are growing.
