[edit]DescriptionCamp Lemonnier Welcomes Japanese Contingent DVIDS176872.jpg |
English: U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Anthony Kurta, commander of Combined Joint Task Force-Horn of Africa, speaks during the Japanese Maritime Self-Defense Force welcome reception ceremony held at Camp Lemonier, Djibouti, June 1. The JMSDF have deployed two P-3C aircraft which will patrol and jointly provide aerial information on suspect vessels. The service members of CJTF-HOA, headquartered in Djibouti, employ an indirect approach to counter violent extremism. Through a strategy of cooperative conflict prevention the task force helps build the internal capacities of countries at risk to prevail against extremists exploiting instability. |
