Emphasis is laid upon the productions and re-sources, manufactures, commerce, and trade centers ofthe United States. A special study is made of NewEngland and of the Southern States. Territories and dependencies of the United States—Alaska, Porto Rico, Hawaii, and the Philippines—arethen taken up.
