Summary[edit]
DescriptionChannel Tunnel construction depot - geograph.org.uk - 1632798.jpg |
English: Channel Tunnel construction depot. Seen from Round Down. In the centre, just to the right of the crane, can be seen the ramp of the access tunnel to what is now Samphire Hoe. To the right of the perimeter fence can be seen the line of brick ventilation shafts for the Shakespeare (railway) Tunnel. Beyond is the part of Dover known as Aycliff. For a slightly earlier and approximately reciprocal view see 308543. For the part of the depot off-picture left, see 1632780. |
