Beschrijving : De republikeinse politie van Rantau-Prapat (Noord-Sumatra) is na de komst van de Ned. troepen grotendeels aangebleven. Tezamen met nieuw aangeworven personeel worden de mannen opgeleid tot een modern politie-apparaat, ter handhaving van rust en orde in dit gebied. Van de overgebleven politiemensen beschikten zeer weinigen over een uniform. Reeds op 1 januari 1949 werd aan het politiekorps een nieuw uniform uitgereikt.
