PORTRAITS PEINTS ET DESSINÉS PAR DELACROIX. Delacroix qui, dans son art, na négligé aucun genre, ai-mait à peindre le Portrait, surtout durant les premières annéesde sa vie dartiste. Il en a exécuté un assez grand nombre,demeurés pour la plupart inconnus du public, parce quilsétaient, le plus souvent, destinés à des amis très-intimes. En dressant la liste chronologique de tous ceux dont nousavons pu retrouver la trace et constater lauthenticité, nouspensons avoir accompli un travail curieux à plus dun litre. 1817-1818Elisabeth H. 5oc, L. 40C. Coiffée en cheveux avec de grosses coques avançant sur le front,elle soutient sa tête de la main droite. De face, les vêtements et la main légèrement indiqués, la tête etla poitrine seules achevées.
