HENDERSON'S
CUTtfWWEBL" COLLECTION
OF HARDY EVER-BLOOMING HOSES
SEE COLORED PLATE OPPOSITE
In the "Cut-Flower" Collection of Roses, shown in colors on the opposite page, we
group together six of the most popular Roses now before the public. Richmond was
introduced in 1905 and is still one of the best of its color. The others are of recent
introduction. So quickly has their merit won for them a place in popular esteem that they
are now grown by the million annually for cut flowers. They all do splendidly in the garden,
well established plants producing large flowers on long stems, freely and continuously throughout the season. Even the
flower the first season, but the larger sizes will, of course, produce more and larger blossoms. We will send free with
our pamplet on "The Garden Culture of the Rose," which gives full detailed instructions on planting and care.

A Beautiful Yellow Rose
LADY HILLINGDON
No. 1
Among the many Roses introduced in recent years there are none, in our
opinion, which are liable to have a wider popularity than this. It is grown
extensively for cut flowers and does splendidly in the garden. The color is
bright saffron-yellow with coppery-orange shades. The buds are long and
pointed. Of fine branching habit and ideal growth; it forms a model bush Rose.
Because of its free blooming qualities, delightful fragrance and healthy consti-
tution, it must rank as one of the best garden Roses.
Price, 1st size, 75c. each, $7.50 per doz.; 2d size, 60c. each, $6.00 per doz.;
3d size, from 3-inch pots, 25c. each, $2.50 per doz.
Hardy Ever-Blooming Garden Rose
No. 2 KILLARNEY QJJEEN
A bright cerise-pink "sport" of the famous Killarney that is stronger in growth
and much brighter in color. The buds are long and beautifully formed, the open
flower is graceful in the extreme. It is of vigorous growth making heavy shoots
which are crowned with buds. The foliage is abundant and of splendid sub-
stance, a dark healthy green. In addition to being an unusual forcing Rose,
this variety is a decided improvement on the Killarney as a garden variety.
Price, 1st size, 75c. each, S7.50 per doz.; 2d size, 60c. each, $6.00 per doz.;
3d size, from 3-inch pots, 25c. each, $2.50 per doz.
"For several years we have been endeavoring to establish a Rose garden, but it
was not until we secured plants from Peter Henderson cV Co. that we had any
success, owing to our clay soil and severe winters. By carefully following the
instructions in the 'Garden Culture of the Rose' we have yet to lose a bush secured
from the above firm. In dealing with other houses we were often disappointed —
ordered a white Rose which bloomed pink; a perpetual which gives us flowers in the
month of June only and a Tea Rose which proved to be a single wild Rose. We can
say with satisfaction that every Rose from Peter Henderson 6° Co. bloomed true to
description and type, an added feature being their durability as cut flowers.
During the past two years we have had Roses every day from the first of June
until the last of October when Jack Frost nipped the remaining buds."

No. 3
Hardy Ever-Blooming Red Rose
MILADY
One of the most beautiful Roses produced in years. The color is a brilliant
crimson-scarlet. As the buds expand the vivid coloring disclosed is very attract-
ive. The form of the open flower is splendid, not too double, it remains long in
good condition. The growth is upright; the stems long, holding the flowers
well erect. It is a free bloomer and delightfully fragrant. The foliage is dark
green and very ornamental.
Price, 1st size, 75c. each, $7.50 per doz.; 2d size, 60c. each, S6.00 per doz.;
3d size, from 3-inch pots, 25c. each, $2.50 per doz.
White Ever-Blooming Rose
No. 4 DOUBLE WHITE KILLARNEY
A pure white "sport" from the pink Killarney; equal to it in all the good
points of the latter, superior to it in some. One strong point of superiority is
that it has more petals than the parent variety, and these petals are of greater
substance, so it is of greater value for outdoor bedding. The buds and flowers
are beautiful beyond description; many consider it easily the finest white garden
Rose in cultivation.
Price, 1st size, 75c. each, $7.50 per doz.; 2d size, 60c. each, $6.00 per doz.;
3d size, from 3-inch pots, 25c. each, $2.50 per doz.
Pink Ever-Blooming Rose
No. 5 MRS. GEORGE SHAWYER
This variety possesses the irresistible combination of size, fragrance, perfect
form and color. It is a brilliant pink which shows up wonderfully under artificial
light. The buds are long and pointed and open perfectly at all seasons. The
flowers, borne on long stiff stems with superb foliage, are very durable under all
conditions. Because of its freedom of growth and bloom, this variety is destined,
we believe, to take a leading place among the garden varieties.
Price, 1st size, 75c. each, $7.50 per doz.; 2d size, 60c. each, $6.00 per doz.;
3d size, from 3-inch pots, 25c. each, S2.50 per doz.
A Splendid Crimson Rose
No. 6 RICHMOND
This splendid variety was raised by one of the leading Rose
growers in America and at once became very popular for winter
flowering, not only in this country but abroad. At the present time
it is the best known and the most extensively grown Hybrid
Tea Rose of its color. It blooms as freely as the freest of the
Monthly Roses; very easy to grow, splendid foliage, long stems.
The color is magnificent, a gorgeous scarlet-crimson, very vivid
and rich. In the garden the flowers are very lasting, the color
remaining clear and bright to the very last. Delightfully fragrant.
Price, 1st size, 60c. each, $6.00 per doz.; 2d size, 50c. each, $5.00
per doz.; 3d size, from 3-inch pots, 15c. each, $1.50 per doz.
