Scabiosa Caucasica Perfecta.
Tlio old " f'aucasian Srabious" Is recoRtilzed as
one of thehandsoniestor hardyperennialH. forming
dense, Hpreading plants 2 to 3 feet high, thriving in
any ordinary garden soil. In this new variety, " Per-
fecta." we have obtained the liighest perfection of this
type; the immense seniidouble flowers, 3 to 4 inches
across, are haughtily poised on stiff stalks .!■, to 2 feet
long, making them of e.xceptional value wlien cut t(jr
vases, etc. The coloring of the flowers is exquisite, a
most beautiful lilac-blue, shading to deep water blue.

Mammoth Verbenas.
For garden beds or massing the Verbena is unrivaled; flowers of the most
brilliant colors, blooming continually from spring until late in the autumn.
Although perennials, these form luxuriant plants and bloom profusely the
first season from seed and are great improvements.
Henderson's Mammoth Verbenas. This distinct and beautiful race
originated with and was first Introduced and named by us. The average
trusses measure 9 to 12 inches in circumference, and the individual florets
on properly grown plants over 1 inch across — or larger than a 25c. silver
piece. They bloom freely, are vigorous in growth, and the mixed contains all

The old Sweet Sultan has long been a favorite garden annual of the easiest culture.
These new manunoth-llnwering varieties are grand improvements, producing blossoms
from '.i to 4 inclies across, of graceful, airy effect, and are most dellciously fragrant— the
colors of the flowers are infinitely varied from glistening white through shades of red,
from flesh-pink to crimson, and through blues from silvery liinc to royal purple, etc., and
all flowers are deliciously fragrant; for bouquets, vases, or as corsage flowers the airy
grace of the giant long-stemmed flowers renders them of exceptional value. If cut scarcely
opened they w ill last for ten days in water. The plants are of the easiest culture, flowering
freely in the garden the first summer from seed sown in the spring. They are of strong,
