For uniformity, reliabilit.' of heading, size, earli.
ness and quality it is very superior. Its heads grow
so compact and free from spreading leaves that fully
1000 more heads can be obtained to the acre.

Market Gardeners'
Choicest Stock.
The Extra Flat Dutch Cabbage
fits a long felt want of our cab-
iDage growers. They anxiously
looked for a variety which in-
cluded large size, solidity, uni-
formity, good keeping qualities
and quick development so that by-
planting later than was necessary
with the old Flat Dutch they
could avoid the cabbage worm
and yet mature their crop. Hence
the Extra Flat Dutch quickly be-
came a favorite, and growers* find
it has all the good qualities of
a yaiuable late crop and matures
in three weeks less time than the
Late Flat Dutch.

^.^ ■ Arniager or Danish Bald-Head Cabbage. — This most excellent cabbage attracts the admiration of
the best cabbage growers. It is very solid and outweighs any other cabbage of equal size and brings tip top
market prices. In form the head is round with flattened top, is a good keeper, first-class shipper and sells
e^ywhere. Try it. Packets, 5 and 10c. Ounce, 20c. i Pound, 40c. Pound, $1.25.
i/ The Lupton Cabbage is a splendid late sort, heading after the second early sorts and sooner than the
'^late Flat Dutch. It is particularly uniform in size and shape, holds its dark green color better than the late sorts.
In all respects it is a superior late crop cabbage and is grown by many large growers of winter cabbage. It u
one of the best keepers ice have and comes out in the Spring bright and fresh. Packets, 5 and 10c. Ounce, l5c.
Quafter pound, 50c. Pound, $1.50.
./Sure Head Cabbage (Pedigree Stock) produces large, round, flattened heads that are all head
jrith few outer leaves, and it is always sure to head very uniform, firm, and weighs from 10 to 15 lbs. each.
Splendid shipper and an excellent quality. Packet, 10c. Ounce, 15c. Quarter Pound, 40c. Pound, $1.50.
Brussels Si)routs. — A species of the cabbage family which produces miniature heads from the sides of
the sialk. These heads are a great delicacy, boiled in the same way as Cauliflower. The seed should be sown
about the middle of May. in a seed bed, and the plants afterwards set in rows 2 feet or more apart, and culti-
vated like cabbage. This vegetable does not require extremelv high cultivation, however. It is readv for use
late in a utumn, after the ehrly^frosts. Packets. 5 and 10c. Ounce, 20c. Quarter Pound, 05c. Pound, $2.00.
Your Extra Flat Dutch Cahbafje were the best I ever raised. Not a single one failed to make a head. 1 have been
using your seed for three years. Thet/ all make fine, large heads. Yon can rely on me for fvtvre orders.

Very truly yonrs, FLO fl) J I. STOKES, Virginia.

This tag is designed for use where there may be a need to assert that any enhancements (eg brightness, contrast, colour-matching, sharpening) are in themselves insufficiently creative to generate a new copyright. It can be used where it is unknown whether any enhancements have been made, as well as when the enhancements are clear but insufficient. For known raw unenhanced scans you can use an appropriate {{PD-old}} tag instead. For usage, see Commons:When to use the PD-scan tag.

Note: This tag applies to scans and photocopies only. For photographs of public domain originals taken from afar, {{PD-Art}} may be applicable. See Commons:When to use the PD-Art tag.
