LEEK
The Leek is closely allied to the Onion. The entire lower
portion of the plant is used, which is smooth, solid, and gener-
ally the same thickness throughout. It is boiled whole, or used
in soups. The flavor is mild.
Sow the seed early in spring and transplant in rich soil when
fa inches high into drills 6 inches deep, 12 inche.'; apart and
6 inches in the row. Fill in the drills to blanch.

LARGE AMERICAN FLAG LEEK
.American Flag is the best variety for general use. We offer a
very superior stock of this popular variety, so largely grown
