Summary[edit]

Description My yearly homage to this subspecies of the festive tiger beetle. These tiny tigers are scooting about in the hot, sunny sand dunes of late August being feisty and oh so electric-blue! Pure morning sunlight makes them look like glimmering sapphires in the quartz sand. They fly so suddenly to a new sandy perch that they appear to teleport!
