| Description |
English: Former Railway Line, Tide Mills Laid in the 1880s to transport shingle from the beach to the help with the construction of the western breakwater just out of picture near the cliffs to the left. After that it was briefly used to collect blue boulders used in pottery glazes. The embedded line is now a footpath that runs from Newhaven to Seaford. The ruins are those of the former Chailey Marine Hospital, the hospital building on the left and the nurses home to the right. |
