Red-backed Sandpiper (Pclidna alpina sakhalina).—Common inthe spring and autumn migrations along the coast of Island andmainland. Semipalmated Sandpiper (Ereimetes pusiUus).—Not uncommonin migration along the coast. Western Semipalmated Sandpiper (Ereimetes piisilliis occident-alis).—Abundant in the fall along the coast. Sanderling (Calidris arenaria).—Not common. Marbled Godwit (Limosa fcdoa).—The whole of BritishColumbia; breeds chiefly east of Cascades. Greater Yellow-legs (Totanus mclanoleucus).—Common alongthe coast in winter. Lesser Yellow-legs (Totanus flavipes).—Tolerably commonthrough the Province; winters on the coast. Solitary Sandpiper (Helodromas solitarius).—Found throughoutthe Province. Western Solitary Sandpiper (Helodromas solitarius cinnamom-cous).—Rare.
