M. Claude possède un art person-nel. Pour nous, cest le plus beau compliment que nous puissions adres-ser à qui que ce soit. Ces peintres du temps moderne se répartissent en bien des catégo-ries. La drôlerie bourgeoise revêt àleurs yeux sa plus haute expression avec la Noce, la noce au sens propreet au sens figuré. Il est impossible dêtre plus bourgeois que M. Denneulin,dans la pleine vulgarité du mot. M. Dansaert peint un peu mieux etnexprime pas davantage. M. Simon Durand a plus desprit et les doigtsplus agiles.
