English: While addressing a crowd gathered for the dedication ceremony of the newly opened Multi-National Division - Baghdad courtroom, Lt. Gen. Scott C. Black, U.S. Army Judge Advocate General, presents a Chief Warrant Officer 5 Sharon T. Swartworth coin to the MND-B legal staff, July 5, at Camp Libery, Iraq. The coin will be added to a photograph display of Swartworth that was unveiled during the dedication ceremony of the courtroom. The courtroom was dedicated to the memory of Swartworth, a legal officer killed in action in Iraq. Swartworth once served as the regimental warrant officer for the Judge Advocate General Corps at the Pentagon and later as the director of operations for legal technology. Black said that Swartworth, was an outstanding legal administrator who worked extremely hard to improve the military justice system. |
