ve been given them—Olive, LeonardW., and one infant child. John J. Sater, sr., was born in Crosby township, June13, 1812, and has been a resident of the county all hislife, excepting about four years, when he lived in Butlercounty. In January, 1832, he was married to MissNancy Larison, daughter of J. Larison, of Coleraintownship. They had thirteen children, Amos, Williamv., Mary, Jonathan J. L., Martin V. B., Jared, HannahE., Milton, Jasper N., John E., Ira, Anson, and one notnamed. Eight of the thirteen are yet living. Mr. Saterdied on the fourth of April, 1864. His wife had diedthe year previous. They were both members of theBaptist church. Martin, the fifth child, was born inCrosby township, November 16, 1843. He was marriedto Mary E. McHenry, daughter of Joseph H. McHenry,on November i, 1865. Their children are Mattie, Lovv-rie, Pearley M., Nellie, Daisy D., Milton, Clinton, andone that died unnamed. Four are living.
