tan branch of the great family of that name, and it is Donna Imogene who is the Veneziana, forshe was born in Padova. Their little son Giachino isquite as Neapolitan, though rather darker than hisfather, whose constant companion he is each day.Under his fathers instruction he is becoming a won-derful shot, and we often have the result of his bagat dinner. AND COUNTRY SEATS of stucco that is strikingly effective, and our dinner-table at night is frequently set with the priceless Muranoporcelain of this province, while many of the elaborateglass mirror frames that are given the same name hangon the walls. No one expectsme to appear at breakfast, and one is left very muchthe same freedom as in English houses; but introduc-tions, once you are invited to the house, are neveromitted or forgotten, and we feel already perfectly athome, even though it seems a bit odd to be the actualguests of a Marcantonio Colonna, who is generallyconnected in our minds with the famous hero of theBattle of Lepa
