Description
Deutsch: RE6 Leipzig–Chemnitz, diese Züge sind weiterhin echte Eilzüge mit Halt nur in Bad Lausick, Geithain, Narsdorf und Burgstädt.

Einen Bahnsteig gab es an der Strecke LC/6366 hier noch nie, das Streckengleis Leipzig–Geithain wurde zwischen den Stellwerken 34 und F beim Ausbau 2003/2004 entfernt, um an vier Brückenbauwerken Überbaubreite einzusparen.

Seit Dezember 2015 wurden die Pendolini der Reihe 612 durch Wendezüge aus Halberstädter Schnellzugwagen ersetzt. Nicht nur, dass damit der Neigetechnikausbau und die möglichen 160 km/h nach nur zwölf Jahren nutzlos geworden sind, die ausschließlich klotzgebremsten Wagen sind auch deutlich lauter. Wie lange die Radsätze die erforderliche scharfe Fahrweise vertragen, ist noch nicht sicher. Nur die Lokomotiven sind zeitgemäß und zusätzlich zur dynamischen Bremse scheibengebremst.
