Description
Deutsch: Strecke von Madrid und Placencia, die Triebwagen der Reihe 598 sind unmittelbare Vorgänger der Reihe 599, Nachschuss. Die Stirnfronten weichen etwas ab, die Einstiegstüren sind zweiflügelig und es gibt keinen Niederfuranteil. Die Kastenform und die Einstiege erinnern an die Vorgänger der Reihe 594, die ihrerseits von den dänischen MF (»IC3«) abgeleitet wurden. Links steht der Kilometerstein 330, so hohe Kilometer sind im kleinräumigeren Mitteleuropa selten.
Die Bugklappen bei den Triebwagen der Reihe 598 sind auffällig oft verbeult und schief. Offenbar sind sie eine konstruktive Schwachstelle.
