Description
Deutsch: Wegen der außergewöhnlichen Spurweite von 1220 mm (ursprünglich 1219 mm, vier englische Fuß) und der besonders engen Röhrentunnel mit einem Durchmesser von 3,35 m Durchmesser erfordert die Ringstrecke von Glasgow eigenständige Konstruktionen, die den Londoner Röhrenbahnwagen nur äußerlich ähnlich sind. Die Ringstrecke in Glasgow wird ohne Fahrtrichtungswechsel befahren, am hinteren Ende hier im Bild gibt es deshalb nur einen ausklappbaren Hilfsführerstand. Neu sind die Scharfenbergkupplungen mit Kontaktaufstzen. Ob diese für den Betrieb von Doppeleinheiten vorgesehen sind oder nur das Abschieben von liegengebliebenen Zügen vereinfachen sollen, ist noch nicht erkennbar.
