Description
Deutsch: Dies ist ein Soldatendenkmal im Park "Der Anger" in Frankfurt (Oder). Das Denkmal ehrt gefallene Sowjet-Soldaten, die im Zweiten Weltkrieg in der Gegend gestorben sind. Neben dem Denkmal ist das Gräberfeld mit den toten Soldaten, nach meiner Erinnerung waren es grob geschätzt 200. Der Text unten im Bild: "IHR VERMÄCHTNISS - UNSERE VERPFLICHTUNG". Auf dem Denkmal selbst ist den Stein eine Inschrift in kyrillischen Buchstaben gehauen, die ich nicht lesen kann. Eine "ewige Flamme" (im Bild nicht zu sehen) ist inzwischen erloschen, auf dem Denkmal sind mehrere blaue Farbkleckse.
