Fromthe beginning it has been highly favored in its native profes-sors, all of whom have had special training abroad, and aremen of good ability, of high moral and religious characterand thoroughly devoted to the institution. At two periodsthe college has also been favored in securing Dr. George P.Herrick as teacher and, for more than two years, as president.In 1913-14 the teaching force consisted of eight Armenians,nine Greeks, one Swiss, one Russian, and six Americans. Thestudents numbered 405, of whom 194 were Greeks, 157 wereArmenians, 32 were Russians, and 16 were Turks. In all,nine nationalities and five religious confessions were repre-sented.
