In presenting this manual to the trade, a few wordsas to the past history of our company may not be amiss.In 1852, our President, N. S. BOUTON, ESQ., organized what for many years was known as the UNION FOUNDRY WORKS, located at the corner of 15th and Dearborn Streets,where so much of the iron work used in the Northwestwas manufactured.
