English: Three U.S. Army soldiers with 1st Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, get briefed by Master Resilience Trainer Performance Experts with the Fort Hood Comprehensive Soldier and Family Fitness Program before going through an obstacle course designed to test their memory techniques, Dec. 10, 2013. The course was set up to test performance enhancement skills, particularly memory skills, learned during a ten-hour course taught by the MTRs. Soldiers were sent through a maze of conexes with different photos taped to them inside and out, and with other obstacles like trip wires and possible improvised explosive devices scattered throughout the area. They were asked to match the photos in charts and mark the danger elements on maps once they returned to the starting point. Performance enhancement training is part of the Army's Ready and Resilient Campaign Plan. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Ken Scar, 7th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment) |
