Title
Medal of Arnold and Nicholas Wenck
Description
English: Portrayed here are the Nuremberg goldsmiths Arnold Wenck (active by 1501 to 1539) and, on the reverse, his brother Nicholas (d. 1541).

Gebel was one of the most gifted medal makers of his time. The soft modeling of the forms of the face is very striking. The medal was in the Van lanna collection in Prague.

There is a uni-face version in lead in the Victoria and Albert Museum, London.
