Olde Ulster Another point of great interest was the camp, atthe circus ground, of the National Guard. The TenthRegiment and the different companies of the FirstRegiment was the attraction which drew thousands tothe grounds. It was difificult to hold the dress paradebecause of the throngs which surrounded the soldiers. Of all the beautiful objects of interest none drewmore favorable comment than the living flag at theCity Hall formed by five hundred pupils of the publicschools. To the faithful work of DuBois G. Atkins ofthe Executive Committee this, with much more of thesuccess of the celebration, is due. It is impossible tomention all of those who labored to make the cele-bration a success. But recognition should be made ofthe work of Major James H. Everett. He firstbrought the matter to the attention of the Board ofTrade and from that time labored incessantly to makeit a complete success. Olde Ulster puts on record another matter.
