Everbearing Strawberries

^^^

' STREAMLINER
A beautiful everbearing variety with fine quality, rich
color, and real strawberry flavor. Adapted to most
central and eastern growing conditions. Plants are
vigorous, produce good spring crops, and bear almost
constantly during late summer and fall. Berries are
medium to large. Plant big thrifty plants in the spring
and harvest large, beautiful fruits in the fall.
.^ SUPERFECTION -^
It'a beautiful . . . it's heavy bearing . . . it's "good
'eatin' ". Superfection leads the field of everbearing
varieties. Harvest large, red, mouth-watering fruits just
90 days after planting. The plants are vigorous, adapt
themselves to a wide range of soils and weather con-
ditions, and produce more heavily in the fall than any
other everbearing kind we know. Superfection is best
for garden, commercial or local market.

OZARK BEAUTY
A new everbearing kind that produces large volumes
of big, juicy, conical fruits. Flavor is excellent. Plants
are vigorous and productive. Ozark Beauty is extra
good for freezing. Pick large, luscious berries all season
long from this fine variety. Yields have exceeded 12,000
quarts per acre in test plots. Try them.
^EM
Gem is an old everbearing kind that has been the
favorite of growers throughout the northeast for years.
More vigorous, virus-free stocks have made it indistin-
guishable from Superfection and Brilliant. Whether
you order Gem or Superfection, you may be assured
of receiving the finest everbearing for eastern areas.
NOTICE
You will always get a separate order acknowledgement
for any strawberry plants you order, and your straw-
berry plants will be shipped independent of other stock
ordered in all cases. Our strawberry plants will be

possible, so when sending your order please state
definitely when you wish your plants shipped.
REGISTERED (ESSENTIALLY VIRUS FREE) STRAWBERRY PLANTS
All strawberry plants from Bountiful Ridge bearing the label "Registered Essentially Virus Free" have
been grown from Virus Free Foundation Stocks indexed by the U.S.D.A. in Beltsville, Md. They have
been dusted 12 to 14 times with Parathion to control the vector of the virus diseases, fumigated twice with
Nemagon for the control of nematodes, grown in well isolated areas away from fields of ordinary plants
and nursery fields of varieties not yet available from virus free stock.
All of our plants have been abundantly fed with special fertilizer containing a minor element mix.
Chlordane has also been added for the control of cutworms, ants and grubs which tend to make the plants
less thrifty if allowed to go unchecked. Periodical checks have been made of planting stocks and nursery
fields by competent inspectors to be sure that these plants are free of the dangerous red stele root rot and
other injurioiis diseases. The plants listed in this catalog as Registered (Essentially Virus Free) have been
grown according to these specifications as prescribed by the Horticultural Department of the University of
Maryland.
