Bountiful R,a„c
STRAWBERRy
Heavy-Rooted, Disease Free Plants Assure Success
IWS
/albritton
Albritton is the most beautiful strawberry known to
us. Berries are large, attractive bright glossy red, and
ripen about with Blakemore. Berries are firm, carry
well, and are of good flavor. Plants are vigorous and
productive. Albritton is best for southern areas but
demands trial wherever a real "eye-poppin' berry" is
desired.
/
BLAKEMORE
Virus Free — No Yellows — Strong — Healthy
A very free plant maker and responds quickly to
good treatment. It is an abundant bearer. The fruit
averages large and retains its bright attractive red color
even after being picked several days. It will ripen a
few days earlier than Premier. Fohage is healthy and
vigorous. The plants hold up well during a drought.
The berries are firm and unexcelled for long-distance
shipping. They are preferred by all strawberry
ing companies.
STELEMASTER
Resistant to Three Races of Red Stele
Stelemaster ripens about with Blakemore. Berries are
medium to large and hold their size well throughout
season. Generally uniform and smooth, medium red
with a glossy surface. The flesh is light red, firm, juicy,
and flavor is mild sub-acid. Stelemaster plants are
vigorous, very productive and highly resistant to red
stele in eastern United States. Leaves are resistant to
scorch but do leaf spot under some conditions. It
should have the consideration of every planter where
red stele is a problem.
./ FAIRFAX -►
Queen of the Table Berries
Fairfax ripens about the same time as Premier, and
its fruiting season extends over a long period. The
quality Fairfax is equal to the best. Berries are large
to very large, of a bright red color at picking time.
Turns dark after being picked for several days but re-
tains its flavor and firmness.
^ ROBINSON
Large Size — Bright Color
A LEADING MARKET BERRY
Robinson, often called Scarlet Beauty, has those very
large attractive berries which catch the customer's eye
every time. They are a beautiful bright red color with
glossy finish, holding well with little loss of color. Yields
are comparable to other leading varieties.
Plants of the Robinson variety are very vigorous,
almost always making good picking beds under extreme
circumstances. Robinson actually does better in dry sea-
sons than in wet ones because of the tendency to over-
produce plants. The berries also hold up better under
drv conditions.
PREMIER
Premier can be considered almost frostproof. The
berries average large and hold up well under hea\'^'
crops and unfavorable weather conditions. Ripens over
a comparatively long period, from two to three weeks.
Berries have an attractive bright red color and unusual
quality and are moderately firm.
VIRUS FREE PREMIER plants are unusually
vigorous and free plant makers. The fohage is hghter
in color, the berries are hghter in color and possibly not
as firm as the old type Premier but berries have
Premier shape and quality.
y
ARMORE
Very Large . . . Highly Productive
Vigorous Grower
This fine berry is being successfully grown all through
the Midwest. Its large size and beauty have made it
quite popular and profitable. In our fruiting plots it
has shown up very well, giving very large, firm, and
beautiful berries.
Armore is a late midseason kind of outstanding
merit. Plants are vigorous and easily make good pro-
ducing beds. Berries are light red and firmer than
Premier and Sparkle. Quality is good.
