Ring med besoarsten.
Description
Svenska: Oregelbundet rund, välvd agat (enl.inv.1867 besoarsten), gråbrun med ljusbrunt mittparti, slät fattning á jour av guld, stenens baksidan urholkad. På fattningens undersida graverat: "Hedvig Eleonora Regina Suecia".
Ring med rak insida och välvd utsida, mot klacken två ursprungligen emaljerade fält, endast rester av ljusblå emalj återstår.
Besoarstenen förekommer i magen på många idisslare, bl a hos besoargeten. Den ansågs vara skyddande mot sjukdomar och genom den öppna infattningen kom huden i direkt kontakt med stenens magiska kraft.
