[edit]
Description
English: Sapperton Church Sapperton church is dedicated to St Kenelm. The origins of the church go back to the 12th century, the tower and spire date from the 14th century, however, much work was done during the 18th century. Inside the church has wooden pews with interesting secular carvings on the end of each pew, these came from banqueting hall of the nearby Sapperton Manor which was demolished by the first Lord Bathhurst in the 1730s. There are also interesting monuments inside dating from the 16th, 17th and early a8th centuries.
