Summary[edit]

Description
English: Small pond, Fenn's Moss Fenn's Moss is part of the third largest raised bog in Britain, one of the most southerly such environments in the country. The vegetation includes Sphagnum bogmoss, cotton sedge and occasional birches. Large-scale peat cutting ceased in 1990, although the pond shown probably resulted from recent small-scale hand peat cutting, which is still permitted. The area, now owned by English Nature, is an SSSI, National Nature Reserve and Wetland of International Importance.
