Summary[edit]

Description The rear of Southern Vectis 1951 Round Tower Point (PL51 LDK), a Volvo B7TL/Plaxton President, in Newport, Isle of Wight bus station on a shuttle bus service to Merstone. At the time, roadworks were taking place in Shanklin, meaning buses were suffering significant delays on route 2. To help improve the situation, buses ran straight through Rookley instead of turning off along the slightely longer route through Merstone. A special shuttle service was provided for people in Merstone for the duration of the roadworks. The bus had recently been transferred to Southern Vectis from Go South Coast's events fleet, and is seen before being repainted into Southern Vectis colours here.
