Captain Sir Ross Smith and his crew on their return from the flight from England to Australia in the Vimy Vickers aircraft in 1919. Keith and Ross Smith, ex W.W.I aviators, flew the aircraft and were knighted for their daring flight. They also won a prize of £10,000. Crew from left to right is Sergeant Bennett; Sergeant Shires; Captain Sir Ross Smith; Lieutenant Fysche (representing the Commonwealth Air Service); Hon.
