[edit]DescriptionThe 1-64th's Cyclones prepare for the upcoming storm 130910-A-CW513-008.jpg |
English: Soldiers of Company C “Cyclones”, 1st Battalion, 64th Armor Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, salute during the playing of Reveille, which signifies the raising of the National Colors, here Sept. 10. Though the sun has not yet risen, and their only source of light is the orange-emitting street lamps inside and outside the motorpool, the Soldiers prepare to compete against each other in fierce competition in numerous events designed to test their physical and mental strength as well as their ability to perform as a tank crew member. This is all part of a 13-event, three-day competition, designed to bolster Esprit de Corps, as well as help them prepare for the gunnery they have coming up in the fall. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. Richard Wrigley, 2nd ABCT, 3rd ID, Public Affairs NCO) |
