The whole is surrounded by a noble balustrade; and at each angle thereis a large pavilion-shaped turret Avith an open cupola. Flights of stairs lead to the secondterraced quadrangle, which is precisely the same as the loAver one, except that it is smaller;each tier diminishing in size until the summit of the building is reached, and thevisitor treads upon a vast platform, surrounded by a screen of Avhite marble per-forated in every compartment in beautiful designs of arabesques, and having turretedmarble cupolas at the angles.
