48 SANTA FE EMPLOYES MAGAZINE hope that Kansas City speedily will needto put all these tracks into such use. The station will be built on three levels:The top level, on which passengers willcome to and go from the station; thecenter level, on which the trains will runand down to which passengers will becarried in the elevators or on the mov-ing stairways; and the bottom level, onwhich all baggage, mail and express willbe taken care of. Thus all baggage,mail and express will be collect-ed under the platforms for or fromthe various trains, and raised orlowered by electric hoists at the frontof the trains. Passengers will at no timebe compelled to stumble over trunksand mail bags. All trunks and such likebaggage, and mail and express, will bediverged a block on each side of thestation and will reach the various sec-tions set aside for them through tun-nels. Anyone wishing to check or claimhand baggage will go to room No. 9,as shown on the plan. In this way rapidservice will be assured. B
