ouncil gave two sessions tothe consideration of improving and ex-tending the Sunday-school work andequipping Sunday-schools properly withtext-books and other literature. Thebishop was requested to confer with theother bishops of the American Church inSpanish-speaking countries with refer-ence to publication work. Arrange-ments were made for the appointment ofa commission to increase the offeringsof the people of the district so that allits work may be placed on a self-support-ing basis as soon as possible. Buildings erected or begun since thelast convocation include a chapel atBacuranao, a church at Ensenada deMora, erected by Mr. Alfred C. Harri-son, of Philadelphia, especially for theuse of the employees of the sugar estatewith which he is connected, and a schoolbuilding on a similar plantation atConstancia, erected by the company.Holy Trinity, Havana, has been com-pleted and a new chapel is to be begunat Macagua through gifts of the Sunday-school of Trinity Church, New Haven.
