being taken from the public mains to replenish anyshortage. The bath is fitted with the usual accessoriesof diving board, &c., and thereare three shower baths, twofoot baths, and efficient sani-tary accommodation. Thebath is surrounded by aseries of dressing-boxes,seventy-six in all. There is seating accommo-dation for about 300 persons,formed by concrete tiers,finished off with marbleterrazzo. This seating ac-commodation will be supple-mented on gala occasions bya temporary wooden tier atthe rear of the concrete tiersin front of the dressing-boxes, and will thus accommo-date a further 150 persons,malviug about 450 in all.Plans have been prepared fora further extension to thisbath, comprising slipperbaths, vapour baths, &c., andan application has beenmade to the Local Govern-ment Board for sanction toborrow the sum of £3,625 tocarry out this work. At the opening ceremonythe borough engineer, ingiving the foregoing particu-lars, said: ■ I sliould like tolake this opportunity
