HEREFORD BULL ANXIETY 3d 4466. Calved July 3, 1879; bred by Mr. T. J. Carwardine, Stockton-bury, Leominster, England; property of Thomas Clark, EvergreenStock Farm, Beecher, 111.; got by Anxiety (5188), (one of the mostfamous sires of the breed ever imported to America), dam Tiny(the dam of Mr. Earls Sir Bartle Frere, see page 264) by Long-horns (4711); 2d dam Rosebud by De Cote (3060); 3d dam Statelyby Heart of Oak (2035), etc. Anxiety 3d sired several of the mostsuccessful prize-winning heifers at the Illinois State Fairs of 1885and 1886. Yeld &Griffiths and sold (1886) to his present owner, Mr. John Borland,Elkhorn Farm, Stanton, Neb.; got by The Grove 3d (5051) (seepage 258), dam Belle by Spartan (5009); 2d dam Exquisite byProvost (4067). Bears a striking resemblance to his illustrious sire,and is own brother in blood to the famous Rudolph (6660), RoyalGrove, page 272, and Cassio, page 270. Sketched from life by Burk. (268)
