Bishop Redman enjoinedthe abbot to try and increase the number of the reli-gious at Torre by every means in his power, and hegave certain regulations for the community life. Thebrethren were not to drink after Compline withouturgent need, and never without full permission. Thetime of Vespers was to be at 4 oclock, both summerand winter, and all were to be in bed by 8 p.m. Hepraises the general administration of the abbot, how-ever, and does not find anything of grave importanceto correct or to refer to the General Chapter. In his next visitation on September 21, 1482, BishopRedman is able to praise the administration of AbbotCade in high terms.
