By this method the parts (unless the eye bemyopic) are seen in their true position (Fig. 33)the upper part of the image corresponding to theupper part of the fundus, the right to the right, &c ,it is therefore of ten called the method of the erector upright image ; though, as will be seen below,these terms are not strictly convertible with directexamination.
