inspired by www.toddmclellan.com/ - i am starting a new "hobby" - disassembling old stuff till their tiniest details and latest screw - if possible try to re-assemble it and bring it back to life ( it is not really a new hobby, i used to do that a lot when i was a kid ;p ) i disassembled an old Toshiba A100 - i didn't have the whole set of tools , only those 2 screwdrivers - so it was funny unscrewing around 80 screw with tiny sizes and all There is only the CD drive that i couldn't undo - those damn screws got stuck. the most surprising part for me was disassembling the screen - first it had this "do not touch" stickers" on it - i guess cuz it is an LCD it has some acid in it or something - i wore transparent gloves while doing it - the thing is made out of tiny layers of papers ! a thicker transparent layer (not showing ) and of course the "screen" the nice thing about udoing litterally everything is that the small tiny parts are usually the most amazing |
