English: U.S. Army 1st Lt. Charles Stratton, assigned to 12th Combat Aviation Brigade, zeroes his M4 Carbine during U.S. Army Europe's Best Junior Officer Competition in Grafenwoehr, Germany, Aug. 20, 2013. The competition, unique to U.S. Army Europe, is a weeklong training event highlighting the best lieutenants and captains in Army units across Europe. These officers represent the best in their units and exemplify the USAREUR imperatives of teamwork, comprehensive fitness, leader development, training, discipline and standards. Competitors for the title of Best Junior Officer prove themselves in events testing physical stamina, leadership and technical knowledge.
