Bahasa Indonesia: Upacara nyapat taon adalah salah satu dari sekian banyak upacara adat yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat Melayu di Dusun Tanjung Belimbing, Desa Pangkalan Buton, Kecamatan Sukadana, Kabupaten Kayong Utara. Upacara nyapat taon merupakan sebuah upacara adat untuk mengungkapkan rasa syukur atas dilimpahkannya rezeki pascapanen rendeng yang kedua setelah panen raya, sekaligus pembacaan doa untuk masa tanam padi berikutnya. Di dalamnya terkandung banyak simbol dan makna. Upacara adat yang bersifat tradisional merupakan salah satu wujud kebudayaan yang berkaitan dengan berbagai nilai, yaitu nilai gotong royong, ritual, dan integrasi masyarakat. upacara adat juga mempunyai fungsi sosial, yakni sebagai sarana pengendalian sosial, media komunikasi dan interaksi sosial, serta sebagai sarana pengelompokan sosial. Dalam penyelengaraannya upacara nyapat taon dapat dilihat bagaimana hubungan antarmanusia di masyarakat, hubungan manusia dengan alam, dan hubungan integrasi bangsa tercipta dalam sebuah acara adat.
English: The Nyapat Taon ceremony is one of the many traditional ceremonies held by the Malay community in Tanjung Belimbing Hamlet, Pangkalan Buton Village, Sukadana District, and North Kayong Regency. The nyapat taon ceremony is a traditional ceremony to express gratitude for the provision of the second post-harvest rendeng after the main harvest, as well as reading prayers for the next rice planting season. It contains many symbols and meanings. Traditional ceremonies are a form of culture related to various values, namely the values of mutual cooperation, rituals, and community integration. Traditional ceremonies also have social functions, namely as a means of social control, a medium of communication and social interaction, as well as a means of social grouping. In the implementation of the Nyapat Taon ceremony, it can be seen how human relations in society, human relations with nature, and national integration relations are created in a traditional event.
