Description
Deutsch: Vordergrund: denkmalgeschützte Villa Mendelsohn. Gebaut 1928/1930 von Erich Mendelsohn selbst. Mendelsohn lebte und arbeitete hier von 1930 bis 1933. Hintergrund: Denkmalgeschütztes Wohnhaus Lindemann, gebaut 1929/1931 im Bauhausstil von Bruno Paul. Heute Touro College Berlin. Am Rupenhorn 6 (Mendelsohn), Am Rupenhorn 5 (Touro College), auf dem Hochufer über dem Stößensee. Der Stößensee ist ein See in Berlin-Wilhelmstadt (Bezirk Spandau) und Berlin-Westend (Bezirk Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf). Der See ist eine Ausbuchtung der Havel.
English: In the foreground: listed Villa Mendelsohn. Built in 1928/1930 by Erich Mendelsohn. Mendelsohn was living and working here from 1930 to 1933. In the background: listed mansion Lindemann, built in 1929/1931 by Bruno Paul in the Bauhaus-Style. Today Touro College Berlin. Am Rupenhorn (street) No. 6 (Mendelsohn), No. 5 (Touro College) on the high-bank above the Stößensee. The Stößensee is a lake in Berlin-Wilhelmstadt (Borough Spandau) and Berlin-Westend (Borough Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf), Germany. The lake is a bay of the river Havel.
