De TH18, de eerste stoomkorboot op de Oosterschelde zaait oesters op een oesterperceel. Zodra de oesters de juiste grootte hadden werden ze weer opgevist. De TH 18 is in 1912 gebouwd door scheepswerf Duyvendijk te Papendrecht voor oestermaatschappij Bona Fides. Het was indertijd de meest geavanceerde oesterkorboot op de zeeuwse wateren. Het schip werd aangedreven door een compoundmachine met een vermogen van 75 pk. Henk Bal: ik denk dat deze foto uit de jaren vijftig van de vorige eeuw is. Het is in ieder geval na de oorlog omdat de korinrichting toen gewijzigd is. Voor de oorlog was de korinrichting anders. Geplaatst door heleen bal op 30 maart 2016 - 12:46. pardon, De TH 18 was niet de eerste stoomkorboot op de Oosterschelde, wel de op een na laatste. De TH18 is in 1956 naar Belgie verkocht. Toen voer de Fa Lindenbergh uit Wemeldinge nog met een stoomkorboot. De laatste. |
